Well my love its been a few days, but Momma has not been lazy. Ill catch you up...
Wednesday night, the day I was pooped on, ha ha well Daddy and I went to bed early because we both had to work, me a simple day shift and Daddy his 48 hour shift. Anyway Daddy and I watered you, and I noticed a few "different" things were happening with my body, these new things started happening a few days prior, but we didn't look much into them, after watering I grabbed my cell phone, hand held technology right at my finger tips all nestled in bed :) I did a google search for exactly what was happening and it got me really excited, I found a blog where other women talked about their bodies and their excitement about having a baby one day. I was so excited and happy to read other women's stories. I tried sleeping but I was so excited about the possibility of being pregnant. I prayed for you and I said please be growing, please be growing, stay safe my love. NUTS I know, I've only wanted a number of things this badly in my life. I can recall them all for you... Mommy has wanted to have a nice mom, to live with my Dad and Jeanne, to pass my boards, to get hired at CHOC in Oncology, to be married to a wonderful man..your Daddy and now to have you. Its funny how I've wanted so much and at the same time have been blessed with so much.
Wednesday night was a very restless night for me, I was excited about you, and drank way to much water with dinner, which had me going potty all night. Then Daddy woke up sooo early to leave for work, and as you will learn Momma is a terribly light sleeper. I could hear your Daddy breathing heavy in the bathroom and got up to ask him to breath in another bathroom. Not very polite or sensitive of me I know, but I was trying to sleep.
I woke up at 6, as usual, got dressed and headed to work. I got there and had the busiest assignment I have ever had! I was cranky!! I felt like I was compromising my patient care just to get all my tasks done, and I hate giving less than all of myself to something. I had four patients that were all highly challenging. Mommy was very blessed Thursday though. Mommy worked with Angela, who I know you will meet and love, just like momma does. Angela is amazing, she is a charge nurse, and is the epitome of the word leader. Angela works through example and is never too busy to lend a helping hand. Angela is always always calm and never shows stress. Simply having her at work helps me have a better day. I just breath lighter, which is good, because three hours into my day I was so overwhelmed with stress and emotion that I thought this poor baby inside me is probably stressed out right now. Well if your in there you might have been :) My day improved... Everyone lent a helping hand, I really do work with some amazing giving people. I'm truly blessed. Two fun things happened at work, one Angela bought us lunch, she's so sweet, and one of my new patients bought me a yummy Oreo shake from Watson's. Daddy and I promise to take you there. YUM!! My patient was so cute, he was so excited to see me, he blushed and asked if I would take a picture with him before he went home and then gave me three hugs!! Momma felt very loved and blessed by this little boy. So young, innocent, and safe from being sick anymore which made me smile so big!!
Thursday day ended up being a really long one for me. We have been very under staffed at work lately so Angela asked me to stay over a few hours...a 17 hour shift sounded terrible, especially after the stressful day I was leaving, but I was happy to help, and double time is nice for the bank account!
Today is Friday and I have been a bit of a bum, I went shopping early for food for tomorrow and this week, tomorrow is taco night at our place. The family is coming over. I love taco night and family you will learn. I need to clean the house, but I've been doing a million things instead. I will after I write this blog.
I just wanted to say that I love you and I hope you are inside my tummy, and if not yet then I hope you are having fun with all of your brother and sister eggs!

Bummer but laughing
So today I had the day off, which was much needed, let me tell you. Harvey has been such a little rascal lately, a lot of naughty, and I couldn't be mad at him because I know he gets lonely and bored while Daddy and I are at work all day. Today I wanted to give him a lot of time and attention, so I looked for a nice new dog park to take him to. He loves playing with other dogs, and its such an energy burner for him. We drove in Daddy's very big, hot car all the way across town to this bark park that got great reviews only to find out that it was closed on Wednesdays!! I was pretty bummed for Harvey, but I decided we should sneak in and play fetch, he had so much energy I needed a quick fix to help release some of it. He played fetch and was a very good retriever, which he hasn't always been despite the name. ha ha
After the park I wanted to run a few errands and get something yummy to make Daddy for dinner, he had a really long day and is working a 48 hour shift starting tomorrow. I decided on Asparagus, brown rice, and chicken. Yummy!! Today Daddy had a job interview for an assistant position in Newport beach at the fire department which would hopefully be a wonderful foot in the door, then he went straight to a fire test that was two hours away. He sounded pretty confident, and excited about the test. Now we just pray and wait for the Lord to use us where he needs us. I am so proud of your Daddy, he is such a hard worker, maybe too hard of a worker, but he takes a lot of pride in his work and family contributions. I think he gets his amazing work ethic from his dad, Papa who is quite the worker himself as you will see if you decide to grow in my belly and join our family. I hate to bribe you, but today I was a little sad.
Two words this morning had the ability to make my otherwise sunny disposition have an icky grey covering. What two words your wondering? "Not Pregnant" Boo, I'm still holding out hope that I tested too soon. I hope I hope I hope. Daddy and I were talking this morning and we were so excited thinking about having you, Daddy said "go take a test"..he thinks I'm pregnant now. After debating with him and telling him it was too early and that I would be really sad if it said those two stinky words I decided to test. I did and sadly the test said Not Pregnant. I was pretty crushed, we have been really trying hard to make you grow in my belly. The doctors told us it would most likely be hard to have a baby, but I was stubborn and decided that we could. Its so hard to be patient and have faith that you will come. But I suppose I must.
Well the funny part of the day was while I was talking Harvey for a walk, he stopped to go poop and he did it in a very bushy area. I looked at the poo and thought, no one will be mad if we just leave it there, but I stopped and gathered it up anyway. Then out of nowhere a huge shower of bird poop covered my left boob and arm...eww. so gross. I was laughing because I was thinking to myself of course I got pooped on! I told Auntie Franny who told me that it was good luck and that my day couldn't get any shittier. ha ha you are not allowed to use that word by the way. Daddy said the same thing, that it was good luck, so in that case I hope that means you are growing in my belly, or that Daddy gets a job. I don't mind giving my luck to him.
Well my precious possibly fertilized embryo I should go downstairs to clean the dishes and cook dinner. I love you and hope you are growing inside my belly. I can't help but be excited about the possibilities. Grow well if you are and if not, get to growing!

So Tired!!
Today I am exhausted, all my hard work last week finally caught up with me this week. Ha ha I worked 5 days at the hospital and one at the stadium. Insane I know. I even went in to help on a night shift, that was really hard, my eyes were burning and I though my contacts were going to pop right out of my eyes. Daddy was really nice and dropped me off at work, he said if I had to be awake then he would too. Such a sweetie. Yesterday was Easter, we went over to my Aunt Rosie's house and ate really yummy food and played really fun games. We played duck duck goose with eggs that were Tye died and filled with confetti. Then we had a nice long Easter egg hunt, and just enjoyed the beautiful day. I loved being there and with all of our family. Harvey even got to come and chase the kids around. He had a blast!
I'm not going to lie I'm so excited about getting pregnant, I try not to think about it, but I have some worries and they cause me to think more about it. Daddy and I want to have you so much and we know we have so much love to give you, but we have to be patient and have faith that when its time the Lord will help us bring you into this world. Some of my worries are about you my love bug, but for now they are for my job with you. Daddy and I don't want to tell anyone until we are passed the safety zone. Safety zone = 3+ months, but Mommy works with some pretty sick kids who take really really strong medicine to help them get better. When I have you growing in my tummy its hard for mommy to touch those medications because they might accidentally make you sick and that makes Mommy and Daddy scared. Daddy's mostly afraid that I will touch the medicines, and I'm afraid of telling my co-workers. I don't want to tell anyone at work, but it seems like they are the first ones we should tell so that the assignments can be adjusted. I work with some people who might tell others and then you know gossip is like a wild fire my love and before you know it everyone will know including our families before we even get the opportunity to share the excitement with them. It was really sweet of one of my co-workers Linda, today she told me that when we do get pregnant not to tell anyone, but to simply find one person that I can trust and ask them to help me give my kids their medicine. She was really nice and so supportive, it made me feel so much better.
Well my darling I know you are in there waiting to be decided upon so until then we will wait excitedly. Daddy and I both work tomorrow. Today was a pretty good day, so lets pray that tomorrow is too.
Love you!

So tired!!
It has been absolutely crazy lately, but I suppose a large portion of that is by choice. Matt has been a busy bee working, and on his day off he took Harvey to the park. Harvey had an amazing time. Matt's so good to him. I worked an extra shift today, which I ended up ultimately regretting. It has just been too crazy at work lately. I don't mind a little hustle, but It has been a lot of hustle and that's not healthy for anyone. I mean sometimes I wonder how I finish my work and my kids are all OK at the end, my charting is whats lacking, but I suppose Id rather that lack than my patient care. I am defiantly looking forward to our honeymoon it will be the perfect break.
Tomorrow Matt and I are working the Dodger game and then going out to dinner with his parent's. They are so sweet and it will be nice to share time with them. Harvey gets to spend the day with Grammie, which he loves doing :)
Another exciting thing that happened today was a girlfriend of mine at work told me she recently found out she was expecting. I was totally excited for her and to be honest a little jealous. I hope we are able to get pregnant and have a wonderful and healthy baby. She told people super early but she said she didn't have an option seeing how we deal with Chemo and its defiantly not safe to touch when you are with child inside.
So exciting!!! Anyway I better get going Matt instructed me to relax, he went to get In-N-Out for dinner since we have been working so hard we decided that we deserved to spoil ourselves! Yummy. Besides I should put my feet up they are so painful and for some reason my legs are totally bruised Im talking over 20 bruises. I better get my blood checked soon to make sure Im getting enough iron.

Grandma's Birthday!
So today is the best Grandma in the entire worlds birthday! I was stuck at work but luckily she has a wonderful family who took her to dinner at Arturo's, her favorite mexican restaurant for dinner. She enjoyed a "franks special" a delicious margarita! I love my Grandma for so many reasons, for starters she is one of the most hip, down to earth, fly by the seat of your pants people I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. She makes me smile simply by thinking of her. She is extremely easy to talk to and so much fun to be with. She always has positive and encouraging words to say to us kids. Shes just great!
Jeanne my stepmom takes after her a lot, she is just as wonderful and has the most patience Ive ever seen in one person!
I love these girls. Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Missing Matt
So Matt has been at work for such a long time now, which makes me miss him like crazy!! He went to work Thursday and works pretty much until Monday morning at 6:30, where he will come home, greet Harvey and then crawl into bed for some much needed sleep. I unfortunately will be at work :( I love my job don't get me wrong, I just wish I could snuggle for a few hours with Matt in the morning. I love feeling his warm body next to mine. Such a wonderful way to wake up in the morning.
Today was really fun, Harvey and I went to the beach with Jen and Brooklyn, we had so much fun walking and playing. It was absolutely beautiful out, really warm and sunny. The funniest part was when we were trying to stay dry. The tide was pretty high I must say for the time it was, although I am no beach rat, so my experience is short. Anyway we were walking around a huge pile of rocks and had to time the waves just right to run through the sand around the rocks and over to dry land. We thought we had timed it well, but we hadn't estimated the length of our run properly. It was a pretty far stretch to make. We ended up getting smashed by huge waves, wet up to our shirts soaking. Ha ha so funny. Harvey was so scared he ran stumbling over rocks to get away from the water. It was hilarious, he hates the ocean, which is silly considering he loves to shower and play in the rain. I think he just gets a little nervous with the waves, they are loud and scary when they are followed by water that chases you.
Well I'm on my way to bed now, not super sleepy, but want to get a good nights sleep before work in the morning. Tomorrow is Grandma's Birthday, she is a wonderful woman who I love and admire so much.
What an absolutely blessed day!
